Bringing back the same filmmakers and actors aboard this second installment titled Sonic The Hedgehog Into Darkness, (just kidding), was the correct decision in keeping with the franchise's lovable animated characters, high-octane action sequences, and Jim Carrey's amazing performance as the villainous Dr. It's no surprise that Hollywood ordered a sequel to the Sonic The Hedgehog movie in 2020 since it made more than $300 million at the box office, received rave reviews, and set up a franchise that is unarguably the best video-game movie adaptation yet.
